The Caraga Police Office is now open to hire hundreds of new police officers, after the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame approved 740 recruitment slots for Police Officer 1 this year.
Chief Supt. Noli Romana, Caraga police director, said the PNP headquarters approved, for 2018, the recruitment of 500 civilians for the regular recruitment quota, and 240 new police officers for the attrition recruitment quota.
Romana said applications can now be filed at the Caraga Police Office at Camp Rafael Rodriguez in the regional capital Butuan City.
“Those who would pass the initial screening will undergo a series of tests or examinations such as agility, neuropsychiatric, physical and dental, and drug test,” he said.
“These will be done in stages and the results will be carefully evaluated by our team of recruitment officers.”
According to Romana, the regular recruitment quota is usually calculated to strengthen public safety forces in identified provincial, city and municipal police offices, and is therefore based on the peace and order situation in these areas.
The attrition recruitment quota, meanwhile, is intended to replenish personnel loss due to retirement, death or separation from the police service, he said. By GD Contributed photo
