After a nine-day wake, Bishop Juan De Dios Pueblos on Tuesday morning was brought to his final resting place–the mausoleum at the Saint Joseph Cathedral compound in downtown Butuan City. Pueblos,74, died on Oct. 21.
The cathedral was filled with men and women of the cloth, local officials, Catholic faithful and family members of Pueblos, who was Butuan’s archbishop for 22 years. He is the first prelate who was laid to rest at the cathedral in a solemn and simple ceremony. Photo courtesy of CaragaPulis Pio
