It’s women’s month and why they’re being told to shut up

By Rudmins Vasquez

Here we go again. It’s mere lip service one more.

From government officials and employees to company heads to subordinates, insensitive husband or live-in partner to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who think they can command their wives with their money.

With these, women are treated as second-class citizens. Is society leveling up? Or we’re just hoping against hope.

I remember a wife in a movie I saw a few years ago asked, ”Bakit mga lalaki di nangaganak. Everyday I feel used. I feel abused.”

The man did not believe family planning obviously, and looked at her wife as birth giver only.

Will he ever grow up.

To be continued…
