Kit Gresos transforms from child-actor to acclaimed visual artist

By Ramon Jorge Sarabosing

Gresos: An artist worth in your collection.

To all of us of Artist’s Quarter (AQ), a local theater company in Butuan, Kit Gresos is our pinangga (favored} child-actor way back 15 years or so ago.

He was constantly the lead star of some of our plays where he easily stole attention.

Fast forward years later and Kit reached college and chose to shift full time and attention to visual arts, exploring the canvas and out of it.

It was apparently a graceful and successful shift because he always had the eye of the visual arts-being assigned to handle or assist in production, set and costume design.

Kit Gresos’ bas relief artworks are the ones to bring home to-if you live outside of Butuan and bring distinct souvenir of it.

Along the way, his exposure and interest in Mindanaoan arts deepened even more, coming out with remarkably original and authentic works-all off the stage this time.
Today, he currently runs Papelemento Visual Arts and Scenography, an art firm he founded. His list of clients include government agencies, private sectors and academe.

He is also the creative director of NMBSA, a local television network.

Definitely a promising achievement or an ex-child actor who has performed in Europe and Southeast Asia (courtesy of World Vision) and involved in community theater.

Kit’s Papelemento’s outputs are the ones to bring home to-if you live outside of Butuan and bring distinct souvenir of it. An artist worth in your collection.
