Amante-Matba: Martial law is just like anti-biotic needed to stop spread of bacteria of terrorism.

Curfew hours is now being implemented in the entire province of Agusan del Norte after the provincial government through the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) passed resolution to implement curfew hours starting 12 midnight to 4 early dawn or morning.

Alongside with the PPOC resolution to declare curfew hours, the PPOC also declared support to President Duterte’s declaration of martial law in Mindanao.

Agusan del Norte Governor Maria Angelica Rossdell Amante-Matba said she supported Duterte’s declaration 100% to thwart of what she described acts of terrorism that already killed many persons mostly soldiers and civilians in Marawi City.

“There is nothing to worry, the President is not abusive, stay calm and let us all support the authorities. Martial law is just like anti-biotic needed to stop spread of bacteria of terrorism, ” Amante-Matba said as she advises her constituents to stay calm and sober.

Matba, however, urged the public any occurrence of abuses as he also advised the public to use social media as tool for reporting possible police and military abuses.

Agusan del Norte PPOC chaired by the governor held its full council meeting Thursday at the Agusan del Norte Provincial Convention Hall in Butuan City.

The council is composed of LGU chiefs, concerned national and provincial government agencies like the DILG, PNP, AFP, PDEA, DOJ, representatives from the private sector and the Provincial Board.
