COVID-19 spread slows in Caraga with only 80 new cases in 1 day

Daily COVID-19 cases in Caraga dropped on Sunday, October 17.

The Department of Health (DOH) in the region reported only 80 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest since it recorded 77 cases on October 11.

The agency also recorded 287 recoveries and eight deaths on Sunday.

In the last four days, at least 730 new COVID-19 cases were logged in the region.

Caraga currently has 2,389 active COVID-19 cases.

Despite the decrease in COVID-19 cases, the DOH urged residents to get vaccinated and continue observing minimum health and safety protocols as a way to contain the further spread of the disease that has already claimed 1,644 lives in the region..

As of Sunday, 966,314 doses have been administered across the region of which 484,451 were done for the second dose. CLC
