Three hundred thirty-three more patients in Caraga were cleared of COVID-19 on Sunday (October 10), raising to 40,666 the region’s number of recoveries from the viral disease, the Department of Health (DOH) regional office said.
The figure reflected an 88.3-percent recovery rate out of the 46,029 COVID-19 cases recorded since last year.
It was higher than the 85.4-percent recovery rate registered on Wednesday.
DOH Caraga also recorded 211 new COVID-19 cases and four fatalities on Sunday.
The region currently has 3,829 active cases with 1,534 deaths.
Most of the patients or 63.5 percent of active cases were asymptomatic, while 32.9 percent have still exhibited mild symptoms only. At least 3.2 percent of the patients currently have severe symptoms while 0.3 percent are in critical condition.
The DOH urged residents to get vaccinated and asked them to be more vigilant and more conscious in observing health protocols as the Covid-19 and its variants continue to pose threat in the region. CLC
