Caraga’s active COVID-19 cases back to 100-mark

The cases of the corona virus disease (COVID-19) in Caraga have breached the 100-mark on Friday, as the viral disease continues to re-infect several towns and cities in the region.

The latest bulletin from the Department of Health (DOH) regional office shows that the region has recorded 43 new COVID-19 cases.

With the latest patients, Caraga now has 140 active COVID-19 cases as of Friday.

The DOH also reported three new recoveries on the same day. No new deaths were recorded which mean that the death toll remained at 1,899. 

The data also showed that Butuan City and Agusan del Sur had 12 new cases each, followed by Tandag City with six cases; Bisling City with four; Dinagat Islands and Agusan del Notre with three new infections each; Surigao del Sur, two and Surigao del Norte with one case.

Caraga has registered 49,346 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 47,307 had recovered.CLC
