Caraga sees more COVID recoveries than new cases

At least 51 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Caraga, outnumbering new cases, data from the Department of Health (DOH) regional office showed on Thursday (Nov.11).

Only 28 new infections had been recorded on the same day, which further brought down to 559 the region’s active cases.

It was the fourth consecutive week that the region logged more recoveries than new infections, according to DOH Caraga data.

So far, Caraga has registered 48,502 cases since 2020 and at least 46,127 had already survived, reflecting a 95.1 percent recovery rate.

Further, the DOH Caraga reported COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 11 more people in the region, bringing the death toll to 1,816 as of November 11.

The agency also said that the tally of deaths due to COVID-19 in the region takes 3.7 percent of the total 48,502 confirmed infections since the pandemic started last year. CLC
