The Caraga region has recorded 64 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the highest recorded so far since January 1, the Department of Health (DOH) regional office said.
DOH Caraga reported that Agusan del Sur had the most number of new cases with 43, followed by Butuan City (17), Surigao del Sur (two) and Agusan del Norte and Bayugan City with one each.
The agency also listed one recovery and zero fatality on the same day.
The recorded-high number of new cases on Tuesday brought the total number of active COVID-19 cases in the region to 319.
Caragal has logged 49,541 cumulative cases since the pandemic began in 2020, 47,323 recoveries, and 1,899 deaths. CLC
