Caraga keeps downward trend in new COVID-19 cases

For five consecutive days, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Caraga was on a downward trend, as more patients recover from the viral disease.

Latest data from the Department of Health (DOH) in Caraga showed that at least 671 patients recovered on Tuesday,while 202 got infected.

DOH Caraga also recorded 12 deaths on the same day.

The region’s active cases started going down on October 1, from 6,329 to 5,065.

The days after saw a consistent downward trend.

As of October 5, the region has logged 44,837 cumulative cases since March last year. The region also has 38,290 recoveries and 1,482 recorded deaths.

Despite the decrease in COVID-19 cases, the DOH urged residents to get vaccinated and asked them to be more vigilant and more conscious in observing health protocols as the Covid-19 and its variants continue to pose threat in the region. CLC
