Caraga gets 486 more COVID-19 recoveries; active cases down to 4,843

The region’s active COVID-19 cases further went down to 4,843 as of Wednesday, as the Department of Health (DOH) in Caraga reported 486 new recoveries.

The newly healed patients brought the total recovery count in the region to 38,776, DOH Caraga tracker for October 6 showed.

The figure reflected a 86-percent recovery rate in the region that has already logged 45,110 COVID-19 cases since last year.

Meanwhile, nine COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the deadly respiratory disease, raising the death toll to 1,491 as of Wednesday

Authorities urged residents to get vaccinated and be more vigilant and more conscious in observing health protocols as the Covid-19 and its variants continue to pose threat in the region. 

To date, Caraga’s vaccine statistics showed that 864,746 Caraganons were already vaccinated as the region intensifies its fight against the deadly COVID-19 disease. CLC
