Butuan City’s legislative building will be closed for two days for sanitation and disinfection amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vice Mayor and City Council Presiding Officer Jose Aquino II on Sunday said that the legislative building will be temporarily closed on April 12 (Monday) and April 13 (Tuesday).
“All committee hearings and office transactions, including the Regular Session on Tuesday are suspended,” Aquino said in a statement.
Aquino also ordered all councilors to be tested for SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, prior to returning to work.
He reminded the public to strictly practice required health measures and protocols at all times.
Butuan City has so far recorded 2,949 COVID-19 infections with 73 deaths and 2,637 recoveries. CLC
