Art in the (City) Hall

Who says art and politics-in this case-governance, don’t mix? Only the naive and uninformed

And in Butuan, the city’s that is undeniably ascending in terms of economic growth, visual artists /painters “invade” the city hall lobby though warmly welcomed and embraced.

The exhibition, “Art in the Hall” by Likha-Karaga, a group of veteran and promising painters and sculptors based in the city and other areas of the region.

It is part of the Adlaw Hong Butuan celebration on August 2, but the show ends August 4.

Everyone is invited to see it and is free to the public.

Featured artists are GM Licong, Jun Sala, Cris Tamis, Omar Arellano, Roland Delara, Alwin Musa, Ronnie Rudinas, Marychrist Novo, Ben Corales, Doods Atamos and Jake Torralba (who provided and designed the landscape).
