Agusan del Sur Gov. Santiago Cane Jr. on Monday said he tested positive for COVID-19.
Cane, however, said he is asymptomatic and currently under mandatory quarantine.
“Sa tanang nangutana ug kumusta na daw ko, dili ma isa-isa nako ug tubag, diri nalang: ok ra gyod kaayo ko, makalami pa akong dila, makasimhot pako sa akong tiil, wala koy hilanat, walay sip-on ug ubo, ok akong BP, oxygen level,” said Cane in a Facebook post Monday night.
Cane is running unopposed in his reelection bid.
“Ang dili ok, akong mata nagsakit na sige tan-aw bisan unsa nalang sa netfilx ug youtube ,” he added.
On Monday, the Agusan del Sur Provincial Health Office and its Anti-COVID-19 Task Force, in its bulletin, reported 11 new COVID-19 cases.
The province’s total active cases rose to 118 from only 71 on Jan.7.
Since the pandemic started, Agusan del Sur has recorded 12,704 COVID-19 cases, of which 12,181 have recovered while 405 had died. CLC
