Caraga has recorded an additional 363 coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Sunday, bringing to 5,478 the total number of active cases in the region.
The Department of Health (DOH) in Caraga also recorded 298 recoveries on the same day.
However, 13 COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the deadly respiratory disease, raising the death toll to 1,120 as of Sunday.
The DOH case bulletin, as of September 12, showed that the region has already recorded a total of 35,205 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Authorities urged residents to get vaccinated and to follow health protocols to stop the spread of the virus.
To date, some 352,516 residents of Caraga have received full doses of vaccines against COVID-19, according to DOH’s latest data.
The fully inoculated individuals include 52,921 health workers and medical front liners under the A1 priority group, 98,144 elderly under A2, 181,877 persons with comorbidities under A3, 15,797 frontline personnel in essential sectors under A4, and 3,777 indigents under the A5 category.
DOH Caraga also said some 356,062 residents received their first doses of Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer vaccines. These include 61,057 persons under A1, 78,032 under A2, 83,490 under A3, 151,930 under A4, and 11,553 under the A5 priority group.
A total of 708,578 doses of vaccines have already been administered in the region. CLC
