SR Metals, Inc., a mining company based in Tubay, Agusan del Norte congratulates its two forestry scholars who passed the recently concluded Forester Licensure Examination.
Ma. Elena Limbasan and Reza Mae Vertudazo, both from Barangay Poblacion Dos, Tubay town were lucky enough to be chosen as scholars of the company and just graduated last June 2017 at Caraga State University, Butuan City.
Limbasan, whose mother died upon delivery of her, has her grandmother Ecolita only raising her 4 other siblings. She couldn’t help but cry after knowing the result.
“I am really inspired to pursue my dreams because I knew what life would I have when I don’t acquire any degree,”, Limbasan said.
“A million thanks to SR Metals,” she added.
SR Metals started its scholarship program way back 2009 after it found out that only a few Tubaynons pursue college education due to financial constraints.
As of to date, SR Metals maintained some 45 college scholars who are enjoying free transportation and book allowance, meal allowance, dormitory, tuition and miscellaneous fees for free. By JD
