12 more die of COVID-19 in Caraga; death toll at 1,845

Another 12 patients succumbed to COVID-19 complications on Sunday, November 14, said the Department of Health (DOH) in Caraga, increasing the death toll to 1,845.

The total deaths currently account for 3.8 percent of the 48,635 confirmed infections of the virus in the region.

DOH reported that on Sunday, Caraga also recorded 91 new recoveries, bringing the total recoveries to 46,245. 

The figure reflected a 95.1-percent recovery rate in the region that has already logged 48,635 COVID-19 cases since last year.

Only 39 new infections had been recorded on the same day, which further brought down to 545 the region’s active cases, according to DOH Caraga.

DOH has noted a downward trend in the weekly average number of COVID-19 cases in the region.

A total of 1,257,977 residents in the region have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of November 14.

The DOH Caraga reported that 601,006 residents are fully vaccinated and 656,971 others have received the first vaccine dose. CLC
