This year’s Mutya hong Butuan (Miss Butuan) is a young charmer, Yves Madeleine G. Arbis, a graduating student of Accounting Technology of Father Saturnino Urios University.
At 19, she stands 5’4 and born under the zodiac sign of cancer. She represented Barangay Libertad where her family resides.
Her father is Yul Arbis, a businessman and her mother is Romadel Arbis, a government employee.
She describes herself as “a woman with strong confidence in achieving her goals.”
She is attracted to the idea of becoming a flight attendant and travel the world with her family. Her motto: everything happens for a reason.
The person she admired most is her mother. She’s into badminton and her hobbies are dancing, acting and radio broadcasting.
Her favorite singer is Sarah Geronimo and like any young people, she says she cannot do without a cell phone.
She look at beauty contests as “showcasing the beauty of a woman not only outside but inside.”
She bested 25 young ladies from other barangays of the city. One of the pageant judges was former Miss Philippines-Universe Venus Raj.
