“Yoga on Wheels” project launched

A Mindanao-wide fitness tour this summer? Why not?

Get to stretch, breath and meditate while being photograph in magical destinations like Lake Apo in Valencia, Bukidnon, the islets and beaches in two Surigao provinces and other sites of Zamboanga del Sur such as Pagadian city and Lakewood, passing by Misamis Oriental and towards Davao and General Santos cities.

Join the Yoga on Wheels (YOW) tour project organized by Bai Magazine, a lifestyle magazine circulated in Caraga region, Davao, Cagayan de Oro and General Santos cities.

The “off the road” fitness tour event accepts fitness enthusiasts pursuing or interested in the Oriental practice like Yoga, Tai chi, Qigong, meditation, etc.

Participants are encourage or required they take time to practice before the scheduled tours set to begin on the first weekend of March.

“We encourage those who want to join to know the basics at least so that they feel good and at ease as we get to the venues,”says Vangie Pena-Dominise, associate ccordinator and Bai Magazine managing director. Only 10 participants are accepted per tour.

“This is really more like a week-end chill-an overnight fitness-filled trip,” Dominise promises, who herself is a Yoga practitioner.

“Other than Yoga, we do Body-Wind Exploration, walking meditation, full moon or star gazing and sharing life experiences. The trip will also provide interaction with local communities and engage issues like environment, arts and culture. Bryan Edulzura, a government employee and Yoga practitioner calls it a proactive tourism event with a twist.
