Tubay residents get free medical, dental services

 

SR Metals, Inc., a mining company based in Tubay, Agusandel Norte, has commenced the implementation of medical and dental outreach programs on the first quarter this year after it has been approved as part of the Annual Social Development and Management Program 2018.

March this year, Barangay Binuangan, a host barangay received the first conduct of Medical Outreach with 625 residents availed the medical services like consultation and giving of free medicines and vitamin.

In May 27, Poblacion Dos with at least 286 for medical consultation and 43 for dental extraction while Tagmamarkay and La Fraternidad just this June have a total of  363 and 355, respectively for medical consultation and 67 and 63, respectively for dental extraction.

Jacquelou Modar, ComRel Manager of SRMI, said said that health of the communities is a top priority since the town has no hospital established yet.

“We will also implement this medical and dental outreach at Barangay Sta. Ana and also for our brothers and sisters of indigenous people particularly Mamanwa and Manobo Tribes to alleviate the suffering of the people who had agonized under treatable health conditions,” she said.

It can be recalled that SRMI has been implementing medical and dental programs for years already since it had started its operation in 2006.

Along with the health programs are the daily community medical consultation and assistance program conducted at the SRMI Clinic and free Philhealth Insurance to some deserving but poor two hundred sixty four household in the municipality. By JD
