A Small town Lottery (STL) teller allegedly moonlighting as a drug peddler‎ and her live-in partner were nabbed by anti-narcotics agents in a buy-bust operation in Butuan City on Sunday afternoon.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Maricris Salazar, 38, and his live-in partner, Reggie, 39, after the couple sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police agent in a transaction in Barangay Fort Poyohon around 3:45 p.m.

Confiscated from their possession were six sachets of suspected shabu and the marked money worth P500.

Police said the couple were put under surveillance for several weeks before the buy-bust operation was pulled off yesterday.

Charges for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against the suspects, both newly identified drug personalities in Butuan City. By CLC
