‘Siargao’ movie to begin filming this May

The filming of the movie titled “Siargao” which will be shot entirely on Siargao Island, the surfing and game fishing capital of the country will start this May.

Award winning film maker Paul Soriano, in an exclusive interview, said his movie “Siargao “ which will star Jericho Rosales and actress Anne Curtis with other popular teen idols will be submitted as official entry for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Entire cast have to stay in Siargao for entire duration of the shooting of the movie.

This writer recently spotted Soriano and his actress wife Toni Gonzaga with their baby at the lobby of one of the resort in General Luna town.

This writer approached the well-known movie director and requested for an interview by which Soriano easily agreed.

Soriano said Rosales or Echo will play the role of a local Siargaonon who return home Siargao after working stint outside the island and meet upon his return to Siargao a Fil-American tourist whose role will be played by Anne Curtis.

“We will show in the movie other beautiful hidden places here in Siargao,” says Soriano while his wife actress Toni Gonzaga was carrying their baby child.

Soriano added the movie Siargao will show how beautiful tourist spots in the Philippines are as Siargao according to Soriano is a show window of what beautiful is Philippine tourism.

“We will show in the movie how local government officials took bold steps to anticipate no repetition of what is now happening in Boracay due issues of waste disposal,” the young movie director added..

Soriano invited this writer to witness the shooting of the movie hopefully he said to start this first week of May.

Soriano is producer, screenwriter and award winning TV commercial and movie director with his credits on movies like Dukot (2016), Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis ( 2016) winner of the Silver Bear, 66th Berlin Film Festival and Manny Pacquiao bio-film Kid Kulafu (2015).
