The operation at the Sayak Airport in Siargao Island returned to normal on Wednesday after aviation authorities approved the resumption of flights.
The airport was closed to all aircraft after Skyjet RP-C3855 from Manila overshot by a few meters the end of the runway at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. No one was hurt among the 73 passengers.
Transport authorities finally towed away the plane late Tuesday evening from the field where it had been stuck. By CLC Photo courtesy of Daniel Franco
