A public school teacher on the drug watch-list was arrested Monday night in Butuan City for allegedly selling “shabu” to an undercover agent, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Marcia Pajo, 41, was collared by anti-drug operatives during a buy-bust operation around 9:40 p.m in Barangay Ong Yiu, said PDEA Caraga spokesperson Dindo Abellanosa.
She has been teaching at the Maug Elementary School in Butuan City.
Operatives seized one medium-sized transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing .5 grams and the P4,000 buy-bust money.
Charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs were being readied against the suspect.
Pajo is the second public school teacher in Butuan who fell into the hands of authorities on drug charges in a span of two weeks. By GD
