The commemoration of All Saint’s Day and All Souls’ Day in Caraga region was generally peaceful, police said.
Chief Supt. Rolando B. Felix , Caraga police director, said this year’s observance of the yearly “Undas” went by without any major crime incidents.
“The two days activity in various parts of the region was generally peaceful with no untoward incidents,” Felix said.
Felix said that their police assistance centers inside and outside cemeteries helped in maintaining peace and order as thousands flocked to several cemeteries across the six cities and five provinces of Caraga.
More than 4,200 police officers and personnel in Caraga have been deployed to the streets, churches, cemeteries and other places of convergence to bolster security and thwart lawless elements and activities.
Police will remain on full alert even days after the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, Felix added. By GD
