NEWSPIX: Surigao City tightens curfew implementation

At least 48 people, including 32 teenagers from different barangays were rounded up Monday night after they were caught by Surigao City policemen roaming the streets past the city’s 10 p.m. curfew as authorities are scrambling to strengthen the implementation of their existing ordinances imposing curfew on minors and grownups.

The local police force has doubled its effort in enforcing the curfew measure following a series of stabbing and robbery incidents taking place the past days victimizing a government office, shipping company and Globe Telecom office. By GD PHOTO/Jojo Ferol
