NEWSPIX: Female NPA leader falls in Agusan del Sur

A female high ranking leader of the New People’s Army in North Cotabato was reportedly arrested by security forces in Agusan del Sur.

The police has not provided details about the arrest of Rachel Cortez Daguman, widow of North Cotabato’s NPA Kumander Benjie Pahak, who was killed in clash with government troops in 2005.

Daguman, who is also known by her aliases “Jasmin,” “ Yude” and “Raya,” had pending arrest warrants for robbery and homicide.

Coordination was under way for the transfer of the NPA leader from Agusan del Sur to the North Cotabato Provincial Police Office. By CLC Photo courtesy of Norte Dame Broadcasting Corp. (NDBC)
