An anti-mining activist in Agusan del Sur died while her eight-year-old daughter was wounded in a shooting incident in Trento, Agusan del Sur on Saturday .
Beverly Geronimo, 27, and her daughter were on a motorcycle when shot by unidentified gunmen riding in tandem around 12 noon in Barangay Salvacion.
She died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds while her child was hit on her arm.
Geronimo was known for her campaign against the entry of large-scale mining companies such as OZ Metals and Agusan Petroleum in Agusan del Sur province
