Anything and everything
Dr. Sonia Rosales Low
When Monch told me to write a column for Caraga News Courier mentioning that they want women voices and thoughts heard and listened too in this E-magazine, I thought of reviving my column from one Caraga newspaper I wrote for in the late 90’s and early 2000. Mindtalk column became my first published book after a twist of fate. However, my mind told me to come up with something different. I looked up and began weaving thoughts of my new column’s title, this is how “Anything and everything” came into being.
So what’s in anything and everything? Well, we can just talk of anything and everything candidly, spontaneously, naturally, and authentically, openly just like the wide sky above us. What about that? Anything is any one thing and everything is all things literally.
Let’s begin. There is beauty in everything and all of us have the choice to see it and to discover it. I’ve been growing my own little foodies of tomatoes, onions, garlic, some veggies and herbs in pots just around the terrace adjacent to our room, all these are one my daily doses of happiness in anything. I don’t have much, but I have enough.
Seeing a tomato grow from green to yellow to red makes me feel the presence of God in everything. Imagine all the priceless basic things we have in life, the air, the water, the land, the oceans, the seas, the rivers, the sky above us, the sun, the moon, the stars, the rain, the trees, the plants, the flowers, anything and everything in this world are worth appreciating about and be thankful for.
Our loved ones who are our “everything”, all the blessings and the blessings in disguise we have are anything to be grateful for. We are all indebted to the Heavens for all that we are, for all that we have, anything that we have and everything that we have, in every moment and for the rest of our lives.
In anything and in everything that I do, I celebrate life and all things beautiful and wonderful with enough gratitude to the Maker of this Earth and Creator of Mankind. Gratefulness comes when you appreciate whatever and whoever you are, wherever you are in this globe. Let your hearts be filled with love and appreciation of anything and of everything, whatever that is.
Open your arms wide enough, express yourself, and embrace life; accept things as it is, accept people as they are. You and you alone can think for yourself, no one else can be you in anything and in everything. Be the kind of being, you want to spend the rest of your life with.
