A suspected high-value target was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 13 and the Jabonga Municipal Police Station in a buy-bust operation on Monday night.
In a statement on Tuesday, PDEA said 3 sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 3 grams and worth over P20,400 were seized from Ernieson “Son” Sangguay, 24 years old of Barangay Magsaysay, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte on Monday.
Also seized from the suspect was the P1,000 marked money used in the bust
Sangguay had been under close surveillance for months after a number of arrested drug peddlers and users pointed to him as their drug source.
Sangguay is considered as a high value target by PDEA.
Charges for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 have been filed against the arrested suspect.
PDEA said the successful series of anti-drug operations in the region can be attributed to the involvement of the communities in fighting drug menace. By CLC `
