Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Caraga arrested a government employee in a buy-bust operation in Butuan City on Sunday.
Dindo de G. Abellanosa , spokesperson for PDEA-Caraga, said operatives nabbed Aldrich Edar Fortun, reportedly an employee of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-Caraga) after he allegedly sold a plastic sachet of “shabu” (methampetamine hydrocloride) to an undercover agent in Purok Silangan, Barangay Agusan Pequeño around 8 p.m.
The suspect yielded a small sachet of shabu weighing .5 grams, drug paraphernalia, and the marked money used for the transaction.
Arrested with Fortun on Sunday was his cousin, Mark Anthony Homarito Fortun.
