At least 11 fugitives were arrested in a single day across Caraga Wednesday in a coordinated sweep that emphasized the campaign against wanted persons, the Caraga police director said.
“I encourage the people to report to the nearest police station in case they notice the presence of suspicious individuals, criminals or wanted persons in their communities,” said Chief Supt. Gilberto Cruz, regional police director in Caraga.
Cruz said the arrested persons on Oct. 3 were charged with offenses ranging from rape to qualified thief.
Arrested in Surigao del Sur province were suspects Senecio Guiral, charged with rape, Christopher Villota, facing thief, Lito Acosta, for grave threat, Angelito Quimpan ,for usurpation of authority and Roland Napitan, for violation of forestry laws.
In Dinagat Islands, Tito Antipuesto was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide; and Genevieve Singson, for qualified theft. In Agusan del Norte, Jerwin Flores and Jeson Nunez, for traffic violation.
Pamela Eviota and Nino Wenceslao, of Surigao del Norte were also arrested for an illegal gambling and child abuse charges, respectively.
The arrested persons were currently detained at the various police detention centers where they were originally detained, Cruz said . By CLC
