Three persons, including a rookie police officer, were arrested for allegedly using crystal meth or “shabu,” in Butuan City on Friday afternoon.

Patrolman Junel Payosing and his companions, Tayom Miñoza and  Ramer David were allegedly caught in shabu session inside a house at Purok 3A, Barangay  Bading at around 5:30 p.m.

Based on his  identification cards, Payosing was in the Philippine National Police’s field training program. The program is said to be the “on-the-job training” of rookie cops.

According to his PNP identification card, he was a resident of Emily Homes Subdivision in Barangay Libertad, Butuan.

Reports said policemen entered the house in Barangay Bading, after receiving a tip that a pot session was going on.

Police seized rolled aluminum foil, ballpen  plastic straw supposedly as “tooter”, and disposable lighter from the suspects.

The arrested suspects will be charged with violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. By CLC
