A wide portion of Butuan City and some parts of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur will experience power outages on Saturday, Jan. 23, with the brownout lasting for about twelve hours, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said in an advisory.
The power outages will be implemented due to preventive maintenance works at the Butuan substations.
NGCP said the power service interruption will take effect starting 6 a.m. up to 6 p.m. and will affect areas served by the Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative (Aneco) and Agusan del Sur Electric Cooperative (Aselco).
NGCP added that it will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled and asked power consumers to understand the situation and exert some adjustments.
“Specific areas are determined by the electric cooperative. NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled,” it said. CLC
