No new coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 case was recorded in Agusan del Norte in the past eight days.
The Agusan del Norte provincial government said on Thursday the total number of cases in the province still stood at 58 while recoveries remained at 37. The said total has not moved since July 21 when the province last reported an infection.
Minus the said recoveries reported, Agusan del Norte now only has 21 cases.
The patients are in isolation facilities in their respective municipalities and strictly monitored by health workers, Agusan del Norte Gov.Dale Corvera said.
Corvera, who chairs the Caraga Region COVID-19 Task Force, however, urged the public not to be complacent and to continue following health protocols to stop the spread of the virus.
He reiterated the need for people to strictly observe all health protocols like wearing a mask, physical distancing, and frequent hand washing, among others.
