President Duterte has named Agusan del Norte Gov. Dale Corvera as the new chair of the Regional Development Council (RDC) for Caraga .
Corvera, a first-term governor who ran under the ruling Partido Demokratiko Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) in May elections, will serve for three years.
Corvera, who was nominated by RDC members, said he would prioritize flagship programs and projects that would boost the region’s economy and uplift the living condition of the Caraganons.
“Thank you so much Pres. Duterte for your trust and confidence in my capacity to lead in the development efforts of our region,” Corvera said.
Corvera replaces Surigao del Norte Gov. Sol Matugas as RDC chair. By CLC
