Butuan City has only six remaining active coronavirus (COVID-19) cases after 10 more patients in this Caraga capital recovered from the respiratory disease, the Butuan Public Information Office (BPIO) said on Thursday (July 9).
The city registered a total of 36 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started. The Department of Health (DOH) earlier confirmed the local transmission of the coronavirus disease in Butuan .
The BPIO’s latest COVID-19 bulletin, released Thursday afternoon, said the number of Butuanons who beat the infectious respiratory illness had risen to 30 after 10 more patients have fully recovered on Wednesday(July 8).
“The significant increase of recoveries is due to the thorough medical interventions and concerted efforts of LGU Butuan and its stakeholders,” the BPIO said.
“The new recoveries come from the following barangays: Ambago, Anticala, Bayanihan, Buhangin, JP Rizal, Libertad, San Vicente, Tandang Sora, and Tiniwisan,” it added.
The remaining COVID-19 patients are in Barangay Ambago with two, and one each in Agusan Penqueño, Baan Riverside, JP Rizal and Pangabugan.
There’s no COVID-19 death yet in the city. CLC
