8 drug pushers fall in Caraga anti-drugs operations

At least eight suspected drug pushers were arrested anew in separate drug busts operations in Caraga region on Saturday.

Chief Supt. Rolando B. Felix, Caraga police director said anti-illegal drug operatives collared Jeffrey Tiu, Mercy Launico, Marlou Bagnol and Ardie Bandola, in an operation in Surigao del Sur; Danny Batchenetcha, Jerome San Juan and Archilo Amadeo, in Agusan del Norte; and Mark Jason Pomoy, in Surigao del Norte.

The eight suspects yielded 5.47 grams of suspected Methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu.

According to Felix, a total of 541 drug personalities have been arrested, 988 users and 96 pushers surrendered to authorities since the implementation of Project Double Barrel Reloaded on March 1, 2017.

Around 2,581.37 grams of shabu worth P30,460,126 were also seized.

“The relentless operations against the illegal drug pushers and users intends to significantly reduce if not eradicate the drug menace in our community,” he added. By CLC
