At least 33 individuals tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Caraga on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections in the region to 2,724.
According to the Department of Health (DOH) in Caraga, the new cases are from Butuan City, the region’s capital, with 16; Agusan del Sur, 9; Agusan del Norte, four; Cabadbaran, two; and one each from the province of Surigao del Sur and Surigao City.
No new deaths were also recorded on Oct. 28, with the number of deaths remaining at 116, DOH Caraga said.
As of Thursday, Caraga logged 2,724 total cases of COVID-19. Of the number, 661 are active cases while 1,947 are recoveries.
Of the COVID-19 active cases, Butuan has the highest cases with 273, followed by Agusan del Sur with 105, Surigao City with 85, Surigao del Norte with 61, Agusan del Norte with 36, Surigao del Sur with 30, Cabadbaran City with 29, Bislig City with 25, Bayugan City with nine and Tandag City with eight cases.
For recovery cases, Butuan has 977 cases, followed by Agusan del Norte (190), Bislig City (158), Agusan del Sur (150), Surigao City (122), Surigao del Norte (108), Surigao del Sur (89), Cabadbaran City (58), Tandag City (57), Bayugan City (25), and Dinagat Islands (13). CLC
