At least three alleged illegal drug peddlers were arrested Tuesday in separate drug stings in Agusan del Norte, a police report said.
Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr., Caraga police director, said the drug operation yielded several sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth).
In Cabadbaran City, Jayvee Naquila,19, a target-listed drug personality, was arrested while selling shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Cabinet.
Naquila yielded 10 sachets of meth, according to Caramat.
In Nasipit town, Roger Timcang, 51, was arrested with two sachets of shabu at a drug operation in Barangay Camagong.
In Buenavista, anti-narcotics operatives collared Christopher Agojo, 20, in another drug operation in Barangay 3. The suspect was caught selling shabu and yielded one sachet of the drug.
Those arrested were placed under police custody and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Caramat reiterated his appeal to the public to continue reporting illegal drug activities in their neighborhood.
“PNP Caraga will remain relentless in its campaign against illegal drugs even amidst this pandemic we are facing today. The Caraganons deserve to live in a peaceful and safer place where persons involved in the illegal drug trade have no place,” he said. CLC
