Police arrested two suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) peddlers, both newbies in the drug trade, in separate police drug stings in Butuan City, police said Monday.

A total of 1.5 grams of shabu placed in six sachets worth P10,200 were seized from both operations, Colonel Canilo Fuentes, Butuan police director, said in a report.

“Regardless of our hectic schedules in securing the recently held Kahimunan Festival, we continue pushing through our anti-criminality campaigns as part of our holistic safety and security plans for our beloved Butuan,”  Fuentes said.

Emmanuel Bon, 40, was arrested after selling shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Purok 3-A, Barangay Bading on Sunday night.

Another suspect, Rodolfo Minerva Jr., 31, was also caught selling suspected shabu in Barangay Agusan Pequeño Monday morning. CLC
